Edward Teach was a militant and rebellious pirate. He was feared by his enemies and respected by his subordinates, and his ruthlessness earned him the reputation of the „Satan of the Caribbean”. Under the aegis of his legendary black banner, he plundered for many months and causing a great deal of trouble for the authorities, and stories of the military campaigns and supernatural abilities of Blackbeard are still alive in myths and legends.
