Originally designed by ArmaLite as an assault rifle for the US Army, it later became a civilian and police weapon, boasting a design of aluminum alloys and plastic. In 1959, Colt’s Manufacturing Company acquired the design rights due to ArmaLite’s financial difficulties. The patch is a tribute to the AR-15’s legacy, suitable for civilian and police modifications.
