The print shows a determined Odin who has traded his traditional spear (Gungnir) for an AR-15 rifle. Dressed in modern combat gear and a NVD helmet, he is ready to lead his warriors into the final battle. On Odin’s shoulders sit his faithful companions – the ravens Hugin (thoughts) and Munin (memory), who fly around the 9 worlds every day and report to the supreme god about everything that has taken place. The inscription “Valhalla Calling” is a modern interpretation of the legendary Viking battle cry “Till Valhalla”, with which they fearlessly went into battle. Every Viking wanted to glorify himself in battle and get to Valhalla – Odin’s palace, where other warriors feasted, waiting for the final battle (Ragnarok).
